Four-Year Degrees for Head Start's main goal is to provide a link between early childhood education agencies and post-secondary education institutions to assist in tracking school readiness in Head Start Children. Our first objective in achieving that goal is to assist Head Start Teachers in earning their Four-Year Degree, so that they are equipped with the tools needed to successfully educate Head Start Children and prepare them for school.

Project Head Start has a history of providing children with the basic skills they need to thrive and be productive students in elementary school. As a result, we want to help Head Start continue on the path they have started and keep educating our children. In a changing world, educational demands have to change and we should be ready for whatever life throws our way. Four-Year Degrees for Head Start is designed to meet those demands.

Our program will serve as a support system to guide you through the academic process. Because Four-Year Degrees for Head Start is open to all Alabama Head Starts, it is our hope that this website will be a connection among Head Start Teachers, Assistants, Aides and the entire Alabama Head Start family. It is a 24-hour network of resources at your fingertips.
