Standard 4.2
College of Education candidates in initial and advanced programs work with and learn from faculty who come from diverse backgrounds and represent a wide range of cultural experiences. Moreover, faculty with whom candidates work throughout their preparation program are knowledgeable about and sensitive to preparing candidates to work with diverse students, including students with exceptionalities. These are full-time and adjunct faculty in the College of Education and in other colleges where COE candidates complete their required coursework. These are also school-based faculty where candidates engage in field experiences and clinical practice. Table 4.1 reflects the demographics of the faculty with whom COE candidates interact in classroom settings on campus and in community schools in Montgomery County. Table 4.1 Faculty Demographics
