Faculty have published articles in refereed journals at national and regional levels; they have written textbooks, chapters in books, and produced unpublished manuscripts for ERIC. They have also been active in making presentations at professional conferences on national, regional, state, local and collegiate levels. Workshops are also done by faculty members at state and local conferences and at P-12 schools in central Alabama. Most full-time faculty members, 96% or 44, have made presentations at professional conferences and workshops at the national, regional, and local levels. Presentations and active participation in professional conferences and workshops provide opportunities for faculty to evaluate the effectiveness of their approaches to teaching candidates and to using performance-based assessments. Faculty are also active in proposal writing; seven (7) proposals have been funded which either provide tuition waivers, a service and/or a partnership(s) with P-12 schools.
